My fees are commensurate with my training and experience and in line with the current minimum hourly rates recommended by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP):

- Proofreading: £32.00 per hour
- Copy-editing: £38.00 per hour
- Structural editing/rewriting: £40.00 per hour
The above prices are a guideline only and each job has different requirements and levels of complexity.
I am always happy to provide a quote. All that is needed is the estimated wordcount and a small sample of your writing (for example, the first chapter and a synopsis, if you have one).
I can also provide a sample edit of up to 1,000 words for £30.00 (deducted from my final invoice if we subsequently work together).
A fixed fee or package can be arranged for larger manuscripts
Once the parameters of your project have been agreed, a 10% deposit will secure the booking in my diary (deducted from my final invoice). A 25% cancellation fee is chargeable once the deposit has been paid.
